LATROBE, Pa. – The skies opened up and dumped heavy rain across the hills of Latrobe, washing out a morning install for the Pittsburgh Steelers. But in the temporary pause from football, a different kind of clarity arrived.

Away from the soaked fields and dripping jerseys, Malik Harrison smiled. The linebacker, newly signed from Baltimore this offseason, is already finding his footing in a new uniform and he knows exactly which date he’s got circled.

“Oh yeah, definitely,” Harrison said with a grin. “You know, I can’t wait for that game. I got that game circled. I love them. I love them but I’m on the other side now.”

Ravens vs. Steelers. Ali vs. Frazier.

You don’t have to remind Harrison how deep the roots of this rivalry go. The Steelers and Ravens have long defined the physicality of the AFC North, a division where body blows are traded in trenches and grudges are passed down like heirlooms.

It’s as gritty as it gets.

And for Harrison, the switch from Baltimore purple to Pittsburgh black and gold is more than just a change of uniform. It’s a shift in identity a player once part of the Ravens’ defensive fabric now becomes a weapon for the opposition.

“About the same?” said Harrison. “You know this AFC North so you know I feel like the AFC North is one of the toughest divisions in this league. So, the way that everybody in there, prepares it’s like, insane.”

The insanity begins December 7, 2025 in Baltimore.
