2015 (Junior): Played in 11-of-12 games on the season, missing the UNLV game due to an injury … posted 18 tackles on the season and a half tackle for a loss … had a hand in a turnover in three consecutive games from Sept. 26-Oct. 10, forcing a fumble at San Jose State and vs. Utah State and recovering a fumble at San Diego State … the forced fumble against Utah State and fumble recovery against San Diego State both came on punt coverage, as he was a special teams leader for the Bulldogs in 2015 … his four tackles on special teams coverage (two on punts, two on kickoffs) ranked second on the team … had a season-high five tackles in the season opener against Abilene Christian.

2014 (Sophomore): Played in 12 games in his first season as a Bulldog … recorded three tackles on the season and recovered one fumble on kickoff coverage against Boise State on Oct. 17.

Prior to Fresno State: As a freshman in 2013, Brown recorded 45 tackles, had seven pass breakups and three interceptions, including one that he returned 89 yards for a touchdown in a win over Glendale Community College … enrolled at Fresno State in the spring 2014 semester with four years to complete his three remaining seasons of eligibility.

High School: Two way player as a running back and defensive back … honorable mention all-state selection as a senior when he was a team captain … had 130 carries for 1,130 yards as a senior with 17 total touchdowns … recorded 68 tackles and three interceptions on defense … also was a four-year letterwinner in track and field and a two-time All-American in rugby … he played for the USA U-17 team from 2010-12 and in tours to London and Vegas.

Personal: Parents are Kim and Michael Brown … has two younger sisters, Ryane and Baille … enjoys fishing, golfing, video games and snow boarding … favorite athlete is Deion Sanders … pre-business major at Fresno State.

Brown was undersized leaving high school. He was roughly 6-foot-1 at 166 some pounds. Upon arriving at Snow College (JUCO) he played defensive back and as he grew the safety position served his abilities best.

His final season at Fresno State really served as the launching pad to get Brown on the NFL Draft radar. He possesses adequate size and ability that warranted him earning Honorable Mention in the Mountain West.

He led the Bulldogs with 115 after accumulating 21 combined tackles his previous two seasons at Fresno State. Carries a chip on his shoulders and has learned to embrace the underdog role.

His breakout season senior possibly serves as an indicator of things to come. Brown was constantly locating the football his senior season. He has implemented a ton of film study which has translated into the production and diagnosing plays quicker.

Brown is a bit of a straight-line striker with thumping ability. His passion and desire to progress should warrant camp invitation. Might not see immediate game time but can build off camp and progress to practice squad. Think Rontez Miles of the New York Jets had to plow through some practice squad seasons before earning playing time.
