Leaving school early, he still received an invite to the NFL Combine. That speaks volumes in revealing the interest NFL teams have for James. For all the knocks on his size and durability, he is an explosive and productive offense weapon. James has been an offensive sensation since he arrived at MTSU and leaves the Blue Raiders as their all-time top receiving threat. Undersized but shows consistent knack of avoiding and breaking tackles. He uses his elusiveness too big up yards after the catch. Tracks the football nicely to make the over the shoulder catches and does not shy away from contact. Slot receiver who should be a day 3 selection.
