Boone was a two-star recruit as a receiver from Florida and had offers from FIU and UAB. He decided to play running back at Cincinnati and played as a true freshman. His debut was sensational as he led the team in rushing with 650 yards and nine TDs in nine games. He averaged 6.4 yards per carry and had only five lost yards. He scored in seven-straight games (at SMU to vs. Houston). That set the state for Boone moving forward and his sophomore season he improved on those numbers but injuries sort of plagued his final two years at Cincinnati. When healthy, Boone is an explosive running and receiving threat out of the backfield. A quick burst he reaches his top gear (4.43), exposing opponents in space. Determined runner between the tackles, Boone has leg drive in crowded spaces. Boone is a natural athlete and skill position player with the size and speed to make a 53-man roster. He followed his exceptional Pro Day up with a dinner with the Chicago Bears and should be viewed as a ‘Day 3’ prospect coming off the board on April 28th. Simply to gifted and determined not to get a shot at the next level.
