Soltes began playing football in kindergarten mostly at running back and linebacker all the way up until his freshman year in high school. From his freshman year on he has been quarterback. His high school wasn’t recruited much due to their losing records, but had some interest from Delaware and James Madison.

Soltes played in pass heavy offense that threw the football nearly 70% of the time that used all formations available to advance the football. The on the field intangibles are very evident with his quick release, strong arm and deep ball accuracy. Has a live are with a nice over the top delivery and delivers the ball with good velocity. Has the mobility to elude the rush and is alert on the move to find open receivers.

The off the field attributes carry a ton of weight in the success that Soltes displays on the field. Soltes exemplifies the leadership ask by coaches to play the quarterback position. Among the prospects (Quarterbacks) I’ve interviewed over the years that include first-round selections none have come across move impressive in their demand to command the offense and hold every one accountable to win.

His staggering production in the offense can not be ignored and his size and ability truly make him one of the top small-school prospects in the 2016 NFL Draft. He’ll be performing at the Temple Pro Day a fabulous platform to unleash his arm in front of the NFL Scouts.
