Personal

son of Russell and Janie Rabb… born Oct. 19, 1995… brother Preston Rabb played quarterback at Lone Star Conference member West Texas A&M and now plays professionally in Germany…  Layton broke Preston’s passing records at Llano High… father – Russell Rabb – played quarterback at Tarleton State… mother – Janie – threw the discus at Indiana University…

Rabb was a walk-on at Midwestern State and ended up becoming one of the most successful and decorated Mustangs in school history. He possesses NFL size and abilities which are critical this late in the scouting process. Rabb has sat in the film room with NFL scouts and was able to partake in the Grid Iron Showcase which allowed him firsthand opportunities to meet and greet potential suitors at the next level.

Throws with a bit of a sidearm look when releases the football but has nice touch on the ball. Rabb wants to compliment the receivers into catching the football. Tall enough to scan his progressions downfield and takes care of the football.

His walk-on bad ground especially at quarterback shows a mental toughness to outwork the competition. Has shown continued growth each season. Footwork looks adequate. Rabb likely is going to be an undrafted free agent camp quarterback and will make his mark in rookie and training camps. Obviously, the opportunities to develop his game exist in the AAF and XFL. A trip across the boarder into Canada is always an option.
