Evans has always been an above average athlete and had the size most kids lacked growing up that placed the ball in his hands. He played running back and quarterback and eventually transitioned into the receiver position.

One of the biggest question marks surrounding Evans was his speed especially at 6-foot-2 and 204 pounds. He delivered a 4.45 forty at his Pro Day and showed his soft hands during position drills.

Long arms and body, he provides a large catch radius for quarterbacks. Evans possesses nice agility and quickness to create some separation in his routes. He has good body control and balance in his route running.

Should be mentioned his brother Jerod Evans (Virginia Tech) is also going through the draft process after declaring early for the NFL Draft. The Evans family definitely has an athletic gene pumping in their veins.

While not facing elite competition, his overall size and ability make him hard to ignore. 6-foot-2 receivers with 4.4 type speed don’t grow on trees.
