– Played in nine games as a junior at Alabama State last fall

– Completed 43-of-86 passes for 449 yards and two touchdowns as a junior

Gifted athletically, Young-Battle is a very talented prospect. He has received interested from the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, National Bowl and Tropical Bow with the Gridiron Classic presumable to follow.

Originally playing receiver in high school, his coached asked him to switch to quarterback to benefit the team. Unselfishly Young-Battle accepted the challenge and was excelled at the position. When it came to recruiting he was lost in the shuffle, with no receiver film and his head coach leaving he had no help in finding a school to offer him a scholarship. That is why he began his college career at the JUCO level, prior to sops at Alabama State and Fairmont State.

Assuming he’ll be looked at to play receiver, with that “Slash” type roll for teams interested in his dual-threat ability. Young-Battle possesses very good speed; with smooth cuts to avoid would be tacklers. Watching his highlights, one particular play, the athleticism he has is shown in a three second time capsule, as the play unfolds. He is recovering from the broken collarbone and should be cleared before Thanksgiving to be ready to go. A natural born leader, with a knack to make plays.
