Throughout the draft process there are always a few prospects who simply seem so determined to make it in the National Football League that it is hard for it not to materialize. Boone has a deep-rooted self-confidence in that belief and relishes in the fact that it now comes down to individual ability to make the 53-man roster.

The Florida native originally began at Ellsworth Community College before jumping to the D1 level at New Mexico State. Boone has naturally soft hands. He can catch in a crowd and adjust to the ball. Places a large emphasis on running crisp disciplined routes. Knows how to use nods and stems to get separation. Boone is self-determined and tough. Has return ability. Boone does a good job after the catch in picking up yards and protects the football. He absorbs film quickly and plays with a high football IQ.

Boone has the length and size to attract attention from the NFL. He participated in the College Gridiron Showcase and performed well and met with several NFL scouts. Overall, Boone is big possession receiver who should get a chance to compete for a roster spot.
