Good size & ability. He passes the eyeball test and has the desired NFL frame for the position of linebacker. More importantly he possesses the athleticism to move sideline to sideline and can play in space. Scherer shows up in all phases of the game and can stay on the field for all three downs. He locates the ball regularly snap after snap and sheds block to stay clean. Ideally he has the mental make-up and ability to play in the NFL for and extended time. Solid character and leader he’ll fit nicely into almost any defensive scheme. Small-school label and quality of the opponents will come into question as it does for any prospect not at a major Division 1 program. Dolan has the size and athleticism to gain some attention. Ability to get into smaller all-star games could help boost his stock.
