Had a successful two-year career at the NAIA power in Chicago before transferring to Illinois in spring 2013.Led SXU to an 11-2 record in 2012, racking up 87 tackles, 10.5 TFLs, 1.0 sack, 3 interceptions, 8 PBUs and two fumble recoveries to earn second-team All-Mid-State Football Association honors. Fejedelem was named St. Xavier Newcomer of the Year in 2011 after helping the Cougars to the NAIA national championship and a 14-1 record. Had 68 tackles, 5.0 TFLs, five interceptions, a team-high nine PBUs, three forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and one pick-six touchdown in 2011

Late bloomer who began his collegiate career at St. Xavier and quickly carved out his niche as a stand out safety. Arrives from St. Xavier to Illinois as a walk-on and becomes a team captain which demonstrates his leadership qualities. After his sophomore he transferred to Illinois and played special teams and defense.

A student of the game Fejedelem reads and recognizes the plays quickly. Hard nosed and works hard at maximizing his ability to excel at his craft. Very productive and can read the quarterback and breaking on the ball. Seems to sense combination routes and can cover on the slots. Tough enough to drop down in the box and stick the ball carrier. Covers a lot of ground and great leaping ability to high point the ball.

Fejedelem possesses all the traits to make it at the next level and he really improved his perception with an outstanding Pro Day at Illinois. He posted a 4.54 forty and jumped an impressive 40.5 inch vertical. His combination of athleticism, leadership and skills at the position only enhance his value. Reminds me of former Wisconsin walk-on Chris Maragos, but may end up more like Eric Weddle at the next level.
