Tucked away in one of the deepest running back drafts in decades is Chris Carson. He proved at the NFL Combine his game film is predicated on the natural athleticism he was born with.

That athlete ability has apparent at an early age when he was scoring touchdowns rapidly in little league. “The most touchdowns I ever scored were six,” Carson joked about at the NFL Combine and added, “They pulled me at the beginning of the fourth quarter.”

Those same traits he had when he was younger have stuck with him as we near the NFL Draft.

He possesses size and speed. Along with his soft hands he is one of the more undervalued running backs in the class. His versatility and size often has his friends paying him compliments and comparisons to two Pro Bowl running backs in Arizona Cardinals David Johnson and Pittsburgh Steelers Le’Veon Bell.

Carson has a smooth running style and is deceptively quick. He can sidestep the first defender while displaying elusiveness in the hole. Plays with an aggressive style and does not shy away from contact.

He does good in pass pro. Not a lot of use on his body from his collegiate level which speaks volumes on – Just why did the NFL want to see this young man at the NFL Combine?

Because he has a lot to tools in his belt
